THE POWER

A wonderful week and a perfect case study for the power of creativity to inspire and connect in schools and communities.

CREATIVE COMMUNITY DAY

What better way to top off a wonderful week than being part of a brilliant day in East Town Park on Saturday.

The Merck Curiosity crew helped us launch our galvanised StarShip that has never left the ground before .

With the help of the Men's Shed crew we ran rocket making workshops, crafted with cardboard and made paper windmills.

And launched #StarShip22 on #OurSeeMonster we'd built from cardboard, code and our imagination.

What a day!

A WEEK IN SCHOOLS

It was great to talke #OurRocketKids sessions into every one of the seven primary schools in Haverhill:

  • St Felix

  • Coupals

  • Place Farm

  • Burton End

  • New Cangle

  • Clements

  • Westfield

In each school we gave an all school assembly, ran creative activities and launched a dynamite rocket, and live in one school on BBC radio as you can see above!

INCOMING

It was great to kick the week off chatting to BBC Suffolk at drive time about the week ahead and what we’d built when no one was looking in Haverhill’s East Town Park!
