Our Art Open Mic
We’re still finalising the details but we have decided that the year, Our Art Camp will be centred around you and your art.
Lee and Rob at Lakefest have given us our own Big Top, stage and sound system and all it needs is you.
We want you to come and sing, dance, play, perform, read on our stage. We have free tickets for anyone who will step up and that our judges deem cretive, inspiratonal or just down right bonkers enought to connect with their art.

We’ll get back to you within days to confirm - anyone who gets chosen will be entitled to a free ticket, and and adult one to accompany children, iut ideally we’ll be seeing kids and their parnets on stage together.
Over the weekend we’ll also have a range of activities and workshps you can join in on, including helping us build a massive cardboard Yellow Submarine for a provessiona and stage show.

#OurKLF
What better way to use our past to inspire all our futures than to reinkarnate one of the greatest works of art of all time - The KLF - as Our KLF.
The KLF are generally considered by magicians, serendipists and chaos makers to be one of the greatest works of art of all time.
Between 1989 and 1991 they had a string of chart topping stadium rave hits and then dissappeared, only to return as the K-Foundation to burn the last million pounds they hadn’t spent.
Our world premier of #OurKLF was a full blown video, laser and light stage show - a tribute act with a difference, because it was created by, for and with The Children of The Children of The Revolution.

A CELEBRATION OF WHAT MAKES US HUMAN
For over ten years now, STEAM Co. have been clear about what our art is - it’s what makes us human. And what connects us to other humans.
There’s no app or AI bot for that!
As Seth Godin says in the film here, “we are leaving the industrial economy and entering the connection economy. Art is what we call it when what we do might connect us”.
In our sessions in schools and communities, fetes and festivals across the UK we talk about the importance of finding our art - something that might help us make some money, make a few friends or make the world a better place.

Our previous with Lakefest
Lakefest is the UK’s fastest growing family festival and we flew there in #StarShip22 back in 2023 and had a fantastic weekend building #OurSeeMonster - an oil rig from cardboard, code and our creativity a beacon for the Creativity Revolution our chidlren, our communities and our country desperatly need.

FINALLY
We do have to say that Lakefest is a lovely lovely festival, in a beautiful setting - one of the UK’s finest with lots of happy memories for Lakefest heads as well as the old skool Big Chill crew - but what really swung it for us is that they have the UK’s best Waltzers ride there every year from Danters.
And we like The Waltzers. A lot.
