#GETMAKEDO FROM STEAM Co. HERE
If you saw us on BBC Breakfast ten years ago (see below) launching the Global Cardboard Challenge here in the UK for Caine from LA, you may have wondered what those little blue screws were that we held the cardboard models together with.
Well it was a brilliant system called Makedo from Australia that we’ve struggled to buy since but it’s back, improved and we’re proud to say that we have been asked to help tell people about it and sell it here in the UK.
So if you do want a kit, or want to buy one for a local school, we hope you’ll help us out by buying it from us.
Upcycled creativity
Makedo lets children (and any spare adults) create almost anything they can imagine from cardboard and clip it together with reusable scrus that any child over the age of 4 can safely use with four tools:
Mini Tool - a small yellow hole punch and scru driver
Scru Driver - with hole punch and scru driver in shaft
Safe-Saw - for safely sawing cardboard
Fold-Roller - for perforating folds

GO LANDO
Check out the film here that we made of our visit to a primary school where we created a cardboard F1 Racing Car from cardboard.
BBC BREAKFAST FAME
It was quite a moment as you can see here - especially the reason for the little window in the cardboard house that one of the girls has made!
This incidentally uses the first version of MakeDo which was more like little cable ties than the current, much better scru system.
All inspired by the wonderful Caine’s Arcade film below (we’ve since had a couple of live stream chats with Caine himself, who has grown up a bit since then)
