Event overview

Every year the eyes and ears of art and music lovers across the world look towards the Vale of Avalon, to the spiritual home of festivals, The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, sadly a victim of covid two years running now.

Last year STEAM Co. collaborated with a Primary School down the street from Glastonbury in Somerset and built a Pyramid Stage from nothing more than cardboard, code and their creativity on which they ran a three day Community Art Festival.

But this wasn’t just another music festival on a cardboard pyramid stage.

In the way many say that the real magic of Glastonbury Festival happens ‘off main stage’, in and among the myriad stages, performance tents, tightropes, sculptures and corners of fields across the site, we brought the wealth of community creativity and showcased it on our cardboard pyramid stage.

We live streamed it and showcased it to the world, as if in a monster art gallery.

And we’re planning on doing the same at Ludlow Fringe with #YourGlasto21.

Friday 25th will see us build the cardboard pyramid stage at Ludlow Primary School, live streaming performances not just from there but form schools across Shropshire, Herefordshire, the whole country, if not the world.

Saturday and Sunday 26th/27th we’ll move the pyramid stage to Ludlow’s Castle Square and live stream a range of performances and art.

We want you to be part of it so do sign up here for your spot on main stage, a cardboard pyramid stage.

STEAM Co.

Nick co-founded the non-profit community enterprise STEAM Co. to help connect our kids with their art and our communities with their schools.

This evening of talks, films and other artistic contributions will appeal to all creative carers - people and organisations who care about children, creativity and all our futures.

To that end Nick will launch a £2m fund to put 22 STEAM Co. Drop Trucks and STEAMsters on the road across the UK for their #Festival22 of Creativity.

It will be live and live streamed globally and we really want you to bring your stories as well as share them on social media in advance with the the tag #ARTofDADS #LudlowFringe21.

#ARTCONNECTS21 AT #LUDLOWFRINGE21

STEAM Co. are delighted that our co-founder Nick Corston has been asked to be #Patron21 for the world renown Ludlow Fringe Festival and be co-curating a programme of live and live streamed #ARTCONNECTS21 events to celebrate, showcase and remind us how our art connects us, whatever it is.

We want everyone to be a part of these events, to bring and share their stories.
