The truth is out, he never really did go to space.

It was all a fake.

We’ve just found out that Captain Kirk and Star Trek were filmed in a TV studio in America.

To make amends, William Shatner is off to space today on the Blue Origin New Shepherd #NS18 rocket ship.

At 90, he’ll be the oldest person to ever go to space.

“The hardest part will be getting in and out of the seat”

Cos we can, we’re going to re-stream the whole thing and you can be part of it, cos you can.

While we have concerns about space tourism, this is going to happen so we should draw what inspiration we can from it.

BE PART OF IT

We’ll be live re-streaming it from our cardboard Mars Basecamp studio set on our social channels:

LET’S BEAM YOU UP

Not only will you be able to share your thoughts with the world with on screen comments but you will also be able to beam yourself up to be live on screen in our Mars Base Camp studio audience in the shadow of a 150 foot high Starship using our space age Zoom technology.

If you put a green screen or this green JPG behind you we’ll be able to beam you on stage on the desk beside Nick.

(Please note that by clicking the link you will be broadcasting your visual image live to the world and give STEAM Co. all appropriate consent for this and subsequent usage of your image and voice to promote our work to help inspire a million kids to aim higher than high on our #Mission to Mars 21 Tour)

#MISSION TO MARS21

Inspired by Elon Musk’s bold vision to take a million people to Mars in 30 years on a fleet of Starships, we’re on a mission to inspire a million kids to aim higher than high on a tour of UK School communities in a few weeks.

This follows on from support we received from Jared Isaacman whose Inspiration4 mission was the world’s first all civilian crewed space mission.

Check us out here on BBC News.

We still need sponsorship to make this happen and schools who are interested so find out more here now
